Two-factor authentication, or 2FA, adds an extra layer of security to your Cryptopay account. With 2FA, every time you log in or make a transaction, you need to enter a one-time password generated by a special app (e.g. Google Authenticator or Authy). So, even if someone hacks your password, they won’t be able to log in.
How to enable the 2FA on an iOS device?
Install the 2FA app if you don’t have it (Authy or Google Authenticator);
Log into your Cryptopay account on your mobile device;
Click on Profile in the bottom right corner - you will enter your account settings;
Scroll down until you see Two-factor authentication code; activate this button.
Copy the 32-digit code in the middle of the screen.
Go to the 2FA app you have installed before; click Add account or +; create an account name; click Enter a setup key; enter the code there.
Your 2FA app will generate a token for your Cryptopay account. You need to copy this token.
Go to your Cryptopay application again, enter the token there, and click Enable 2FA.
Voilà, it’s done ✨ Yes, it is that simple and that fast!
You can also turn on 2FA on your Android device.
How to reset the 2FA?
Contact the support team via our live chat or at support@cryptopay.me to reset the 2FA.
We would need you to answer a couple of questions regarding your account to prove your ownership.
If everything is okay - we will turn the 2FA off so that you can easily log in to your account. Don't forget to turn the 2FA back on, once you've successfully logged in.
If you got locked out, need to get your 2FA disabled, or simply have any questions, please contact our support team in the live chat or at support@cryptopay.me.
